Featured work

Twilight
(Summit)

Originally designed and produced by Shorewood U.S, Twilight was then rolled out across Europe into nine different territories with 3 different versions. SKU’s included a certificate of authenticity, postcards in an envelop, bookmarks and a custom made flock fitment to hold territory specific gifts. This product was particularly complex due to the detailed cold foiling and intricate hand carved embossing.

Batman
(Eidos)

Eidos's brief was to design and manufacture special packaging suitable for the U.S and European markets to support the launch of their no.1 game. A Batarang (gift with purchase) was produced in China suitable for all regions. Europe simultaneously created a hinged rigid box with flocked fitment and printed APET sleeve whilst the US designed an elaborate die cut box with spot UV and box foam moulding.

Lost
(Disney)

Disney's Lost Season 5 box set was an A4 orientation kit comprising 12 different parts, including a VHS, CD and DVDs, fabric badges and paper and board products. The elements were produced in Europe, United States and Asia for distribution in three European territories.

Batman
(Warner Bros.)

Warner Bros. briefed Shorewood Packaging on the creative project for the famous cartoon character. A rigid box was developed, printed and manufactured by Shorewood Packaging in the US.

Barbie®
(Universal Pictures)

With the huge success of Mattel's Barbie® brand on DVD, Universal commissioned Shorewood Packaging US to develop a DVD carry case boxset to hold Fairytopia product. The structure was a rigid box to hold product with a clear plastic printed outer to create an eye-catching in store display. This was then extended to Europe with manufacturing in the UK, using the existing cutter guides.

Elvis
(Paramount Home Entertainment International)

Paramount Home Entertainment International released a special edition Elvis rigid box set and tin for the European market. The process included a special 'hazy days' mirri-paper.

The Incredible Hulk
(Universal Pictures)

Universal gave a brief which left Shorewood Packaging US scope to do something completely out of the ordinary to re-launch The Incredible Hulk. Several options were presented before the final choice was made as the most impactful. The main plastic injection mould was produced in China by a Shorewood aligned outsource vendor. Shorewood personnel were on site in China to oversee the manufacturing process and provide quality control.

Paddington Bear
(Abbey Home Media)

As one of the oldest and most famous kids brands in the world, Abbey were keen to build on the heritage with this complete DVD collectors box set. Shorewood.blueprint developed a range of ideas including Paddington’s signature suitcase. Each rigid box was printed inside with a certificate of authenticity to celebrate the anniversary of Paddington’s 50th birthday.

Eco packs
(Universal Music)

Shorewood Packaging is the sole licensee of the patented Repak package from Ichikodo in Japan. Shorewood has exclusive US and European manufacturing rights. Universal Music was the first GreenChoice partner for Shorewood Packaging in the US switching from a paperfoam tray to the Repak trays for it’s environmentally friendly footprint and uniqueness. EcoPak was trademarked by Universal Music in the US and every tray is branded with the logo. Bulk manufacturing the trays in 500k - 1million units at a time reduces the trays’ costs and brings it in line with standard polystyrene trays.

Vault-tec tin
(Bethesda)

Product concepts and creative developed by Shorewood Packaging in LA in response to a brief from Bethesda US. The tin was produced and managed by Shorewood Packaging China, and Shorewood Packaging Europe produced the APET and managed logistics and distribution.

Wanted
(Universal Pictures)

From concepts to creative pitch, the packaging was developed to maximise collectability of the Wanted product. Manufactured by Shorewood Packaging US, the project was managed by Shorewood Packaging Europe and Universal International Marketing and Operations teams. Distribution and logistics were handled by Shorewood Packaging Europe.

Horrid Henry
(Abbey Home Entertainment)

Following on from the huge success of Horrid Henry on TV, Abbey Home Media wanted to capitalize on the success by releasing a special edition Horrid Henry box set. Shorewood.blueprint developed a clamshell with a secret compartment for consumers to hide their bits and pieces and an O-ring.

Conan
(Eidos)

The packaging concept was created by Shorewood Packaging US from a brief by Eidos. After initial concepts were accepted, samples and renderings were shared with the UK office to support a global release. Once the UK had signed off the creative, best practices for manufacturing were shared to save time and cost to the consumer. Shorewood Packaging US produced the outer box and inner vac form tray simultaneously, and they were then shipped together allowing a bulk run discount. Shorewood Packaging Europe produced the outer box for EMEA and APAC.
