Green Policies & Environment

As the world changes to become greener and more environmentally aware, it has never been more important to develop ‘green products’ to help minimise our impact on our planet.

Shorewood's commitment to this cause is demonstrated in our green initiatives toolbox; a resource of environmental solutions for packaging, print and display products, all intended to reduce waste and care for our environment. Our goal is to help our customers make choices that are right for their business and the world we live in, through sustainable packaging, print and display solutions.

• SunLyte Disc Pack

  The new SunLyte disc trays are manufactured entirely from recovered plastic derived from recycled plastic beverage bottles. Additionally the trays weigh 45% less than a standard jewel case which allows for 96% more units to be packed per shipment, reducing the number of transport trucks by half. The trays are highly durable and can be incorporated in standard disc packaging. Made from 100% post-consumer RPET (recycled Polyethelene Terephthalate), SunLyte disc trays are renewable, recycled and recyclable.

  Cascades' ArctiKoat® is a bright white board alternative to SBS made with 40% recycled paperboard. It is also recyclable and compatible with a commercial composting system.

• REPAK®

  This disc package joins the Flip-Pak and Eco-Pak as the latest sustainable packaging option in our green toolbox.

  REPAK® is an all paperboard package designed for CDs and DVDs. It can be made from renewable virgin or recycled paperboard. Its unique cavity holds discs safely in place and the 4-panel REPAK® can be designed to accommodate multiple discs. The tray can be plain white or custom printed.
